Well, here we are again getting our bikes ready for the great riding weather. While the rest of the country is shoveling snow, we get to jump on our bikes and cruise the open roads. What a great place to live if you ride!
Before you go out for that ride, make sure your bike is up to par and check your brakes, fluids, lighting, and the like to ensure you have the safest ride possible. Even if you're just going on a short trip, any malfunction that you can prevent is definitely worth fixing.
If you aren't sure where to go or what might be going on make sure you check out our events pages and go to our website for last minute flyers that may be posted... there's always something going on! What better way to meet new people and possibly get your picture in the next Thunder Roads issue!
Hey, I wanted to remind you guys that anytime you go into any of the businesses that advertise with us, make sure you let them know you saw their ad in the magazine, they like to know how you heard about them.
Until next time, be safe, take care of your fellow riders, and keep kicking those gremlins to the curb!!
Peace-
A couple weeks ago I received an event to post on the events page. At first I decided there is no way I was going to put this event in the magazine. But after a while I thought about it and decided the event should go in.
Why the big deal?
Well this is the first time anyone has asked us to post an event where NO COLORS were allowed. I had a lot of trouble with this because we support all bikers with or without colors. After a day or so I decided it was ok to add the event for the following reason. It is our job to put all the information out there and You decide if you want to go or not. It is not my place to tell bikers where to go or not to go. It is our job to list the events and let you decide if you want to support the events. Some times I forget that what I believe and what I want to support is not always what is best for the magazine. So you may see more events or even an add that states NO COLORS. That does not mean that Thunder Roads support the idea of no colors but every one has a mind of their own and can decide if they want to attend or not. So don't get pissed at us all we do is give you the info and you decide. We do support all bikers M.C. or not.
Ride hard, Ride safe
